Me in my new habitat
So while I wait for my client base to become, well, a client base, I plug away at my web design business or administrative tasks for my massage business or posting pictures of me in my new habitat on my blog. :)
I have a little more than a month left in Portland and then I'll be moving down to Medford to live with my grandpa. We're cleaning out two of the bedrooms and the garage to make way for my stuff.
My graduation from East West College is Sunday, September 16 at 3pm in the Oregon Convention Center. The week following graduation, I'll take my final final and be free to start a new life in southern Oregon.
Happy Friday.

Out on the river again
Today we went out rafting again to let Drew practice rowing his raft with the day frame and the monster oars. We just took a nice quiet run from Takelma Park to Dodge Bridge. Perfect weather...not too hot and hardly anyone out today, being a Monday. (Ha ha.) Took a few pictures today and posted them over at the Gallery. (Bonus silent video! You can See Drew Row over on my Vox.)
Just another day in the Rogue Valley.
A new sign!
Drew arranged for "Massage Therapy" to be added to the Abbinito sign and I had a walk-in client this past weekend because of it! Yay!
Here's a pic:

Union Creek Pictures Posted

Seth and family came down to Union Creek last Monday for a couple of nights while my parents were staying in Shady Cove. I had to head back to Portland Tuesday morning first thing (literally), but had a fun evening and got a few pictures too.
Here's the link to the pics: Union Creek August 2007
P.S. I've also uploaded a short 12-second silent video of Zoie impressively lifting a camp chair. Hilarious.

Pictures posted of my visit to Lacey for Kylia's 3rd birthday
I went up to Lacey/Oly the day before Kylia's birthday. She's 3 years old now and more beautiful than ever. We had a lot of fun. Here's the link to the pictures.

Press release in the Medford Mail Tribune
I had a client come in today who put down on her intake form that she heard about my massage practice from a newspaper article. The only thing I could think of was the press release that we submitted last month. Sure enough, a blurb was published in the Medford Mail Tribune on July 14. (By the way, the salon is "Abbinito" not "Abbinito's".)
Amber Himes is now offering therapeutic massage services at Abbinito's [sic] 50 N. Third St. location in Ashland. Himes, an Ashland native, studied massage at East West College in Portland, and is currently offering Swedish relaxation massage, trigger point, deep tissue, Tui Na, accupressure, chair massage, and foot reflexology.
Himes was previously a Web developer in the nonprofit sector. She can be reached at 552-0228, or at www.amberhimesmassage.com.
Yay!
