Final info on campout

Here is some final info on the campout this weekend if you need it:

I have a count of 35 - 40 people to attend this year, including 4 babies! The rental units are taken, but there will probably be campsites available for any latecomers. Just let me know and I will reserve a place when we get there on Friday. We can squeeze you in somewhere. We are in the "A" loop, which is somewhat away from the main loops of the preserve.

Steve is planning to print t-shirts and bring them for sale to you all. I don't have a cost on them yet.

I look forward to a great weekend to continue to strengthen our family bonds. See you on Friday!

Campout Update

Dear Family.

I have heard from many of you about your interest in the campout this summer. As a result, I have put a deposit of $200 at the Thousand Trails Chehalis Preserve for the weekend of August 19 - 21. I have reserved 7 rental units and have had 6 family units express an interest in them. I have 5 campsites held and have had 3 families express an interest in camping. Many of you requested a Garden Home, however, there is only one Garden home available in our group. This is also the only "pets ok" unit for the rentals - 2 pets max. As far as I can tell, pets are accepted at all of the campsites. I need to know if the pet issue is an important one for you. Should I look for another weekend later in the month of August that has more "pets ok" rental units? Can we work it out as is and agree on who gets the "pets ok" unit? I have been informed that the weekend of August 12 - 14 will not work for several members.

Please e-mail me your thoughts and if you need to bring your dog on this trip. I really appreciate the response I have gotten so far from all of you. This should be a great place for us to meet. I think we will all be in close proximity and there are things we can do in the area for those who don't want to just sit and visit all day long.

I will contact you with the appropriate charges for your unit when all the decisions have been made. We have to pay in full 60 days in advance and have a 30 day cancellation period.

I am attaching pictures of the rental units, we have 2 TT cabins (new), 1 cabin, 1 garden home, 1 30' slideout, 1 35' handicap trailer, 1 29' trailer.

Again, please share this with any family that doesn't have e-mail. I will also get something in the gram.

Thanks again for helping me with this. Feel free to leave comments on this web site as well.

Martha
