Minutes from 2005 Family Meeting

8-20-05 Meeting
Chaired by Martha Himes

Treasurer's Report -

We found Faye's checkbook. Doug emptied the account before realizing the family money was there. She had it combined with personal money.

There was $262.00 of which Doug paid $200 in deposits for the campground for this campout. Flowers were sent to Dennis ($50) for his father's death. They were Stargazers and Dary reported they were the longest lasting bouquet on the grave.

That leaves $12 in the account, but $200 should be coming back to the account from collections of deposits from family members.

There was a check written but never sent to Clarence Mitchell for a gravemarker for Asa Mitchell's grave. (Asa was Rachel's husband and the grave is in Florence CO.)

There is no final accounting for the campout deposits yet, but all familys have paid except the ones who drove up today (for the extra vehicles).

We need to elect a treasurer. Rob will do it. He will open a new account just for the family account.

For 2006 planning -

Carol will chair next year's Campout in Florence the last week of July. There is a Thousand Trails there we will use.

Gram -

Most of us need to pay for subscription now. Pay while here if possible.

Heather will be 2nd recipient for Grams in case Marian can't do it. So send all Grams to Marian - M2Shuler at verizon dot net and to Heather - MillerHB at comcast dot net to make sure there is backup.

Vicki will continue to send reminders.

History -

The Grays will have received the 1st land grant 320 years ago next year. There are also more major anniversaries next year Diana Jane announced, that I missed writing down..... DJ help?

Martha tapped her walking stick to adjourn the meeting @ 8:35 pm, which took place around the evening campfire.
