how do i travel cheap on short notice? i want to leave next week.
ideas?
already been to travelocity, orbitz, priceline, hotwire, expedia, etc etc.
anyone have a ticket they wanna give away?!?!

now, give me your frequent flyer miles. :) and your digital cameras.

kt got her london stuff about 3 days before. keep checking, because (here comes the insider information!) airlines dump seats that are held and not paid for back into inventory a week or less out from travel dates. just keep stalking the cheap flight sites and you should come up with something.

i'm thinking sheena might have something there. i want to go to london in may if i can, so i'm gonna talk to a travel agent (if I can find one!) but i'm also planning on waiting until the very last minute to try and get a cheap seat. anything's better than $700.
so maybe try both? it's gonna be tricky, because of the vacation season, but persistance and procrastination could pay off (by some miracle).

Shawn, an agent may not be much help at this point, though if you have AAA it's worth talking to their travel agency. just keep lookin'. you'll have better fares & availability if you fly out on a Wed or Thursday night red-eye.
