any math geeks???
one day i am contemplating the end (or significant changes) in my tutoring business...
...the next I am overwhelmed by the bombardment of new and renewed clients that gotta have the tutor love.
a bit stressful. more clients than I can handle. more clients than I or any of my tutors can handle. need more tutors. calling all tutors. calling all math tutors.
if you can teach math wonderfully, or know someone that can teach math wonderfully to high school (and some middle school) students....they have no option but to call me, or leave a comment on this blog, or shout real loud in the direction of SW portland that they are willing to tutor for me and my (evidentally) growing tutoring business.
it pays real money. decent money.
even if you only want to tutor 1 hour a week, shawn can use you.

if your company grows enough you may not neet to tutor, you could just manage your tutoring peeps. then you'll have time for creativity.

enough to feel confident that when you walk into an appointment that you won't get blind sided by the content. OR...that you have an ability to prepare yourself so that you can approach a math concept from multiple angles in order to help a student learn the concepts. families that are hiring me want a professional level of tutoring. it is not impossible, but without a math background, or with out some teaching experience, it would be hard to just jump in without some training/assistance in preparation. Families expect me to know what I am doing, and to not balk at any question that comes along. Of course it happens, but if it happened regularly......that would be no good. So, to answer your question, it all depends. you interested? you know someone?

Ok, I don't know that you remember me(me being Renee), but I suppose you know of my siblings, Bethany and Kevin. I went to church with you way back when. I think you were on staff when I was in high school? Anyway, I guess Bethany reads your blog occasionally and sent me over to respond to your request for math geeks. I just graduated with my teaching credentials. I suppose I'm qualified, according to the state I am anyway. Maybe not higher than Algebra though. If you're still looking for help e-mail me.
