pic # 1: box of 11.3 pounds of lego fun (notice the tear of joy that has fallen atop the box)
pic # 2: baseplates. cool (and expensive)
pic # 3: bags o' bricks

stats:
this shipment increases my collection by 1404 bricks, to a total of 4531.
a 44.9% increase in bricks.

i am a little late in posting, as these came in november 10.

this will not even be close to enough to finish the project, which i want to be done with by next week.
i am presenting it next week, did i mention that?

gotta go order more bricks.

tom update

well, it took a year and a half, but tom had a doctors appointment today...
part of the process to see if he is eligible for supplemental security income (ssi).

it was a bit anti-climatic.

what i thought was weird was that it was an entire docs office set up for social security evaluations. BUT... it does not seem like the doctor had a clue as to how the process works, or even what she was looking for with tom. so, it seems like it is more of an "assigned" case that certain doctors have to do without choice. the doctor was pleasant, but kinda clueless on why we were there or what she was supposed to be doing....

...oh, and she didn't know where the bathroom was.

so i dont really think she belonged there.

...oh, and she was wearing a "Harley Davidson" belt buckle.

serious.

+ 160

now we are talking!
it's not a bad mail day when you have a package full of LEGO pieces sitting on your porch when you get home.

add 160 pieces to the project.
bringing the total amount of pieces in my life to 3127.
a 5.4 % increase in pieces.

ALL of which were:
1) bought off LEGO.com;
2) from my wish list (it is a huge help to get specific pieces i need!);
3) sent directly to me (if you need my address, lemme know);
4) were above and beyond the normal gift giving to shawn.

thanks Traci. LEGOs make me smile.
giving LEGOs might make you all smile too. try it.
